Steve Foster is Managing Director and technical lead of Amiston Limited, Picarro’s authorised distributor and technical-support provider for Environmental Science analysers in the UK and Ireland. He has worked continuously with Picarro instrumentation since 2010, supporting research, environmental measurement and regulated pharmaceutical applications.
For more than 16 years, Steve has carried out Picarro system installations and practical end-user training, alongside commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and technical service.
Before establishing Amiston Limited in Bath in 2019, Steve led Amiston S.L.U. in Spain and worked in a stable-isotope research facility in Granada, Spain. He studied Natural Sciences at Magdalene College, Cambridge, later completed an MSc in Software Engineering at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, and went on to spend 12 years working as a software engineer in Bath.
